Community Development Officer

Newport Credit Union is seeking a part time Community Development Officer to actively promote credit union membership and the Family Loan across Newport. You will work in communities, developing partnerships with a range of organisations and attending local events to increase awareness.

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (flexible days)

Salary: £15,600 per year (pro-rata)

Term: fixed contract until 31st March 2020 (opportunity for extension)

Skills: We are looking for a motivated individual who can work independently and successfully manage their own time and workload. You need to possess good communication skills and be a strong confident speaker, able to promote the credit union and its products to an array of people and communities.

Finance Administrator

Newport Credit Union is seeking a full time Finance Administrator to work as part of our finance team, helping facilitate the operation of member accounts. You will work closely with our Finance Manager, processing member requests, assisting our loans team in assessing applications and working directly with our members. Full training will be provided.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £15,600 per year

Term: Permanent

Skills: We are looking for an individual who can work as part of a mixed team of staff and volunteers, with good communication, literacy and numeracy skills. You will have confidence in using IT and databases and will be able to communicate with our members through various means including social media.
